May Day 1895 cards pack of 8
Pack of 8 cards with 'fuchsia pink' envelopes. Towards the end of the 19th century, the socialist and illustrator of children’s stories Walter Crane (1845 -1915) embarked on an annual project to produce illustrations celebrating May Day for the socialist magazine The Clarion. A member of the Arts and Crafts movement and a close associate of William Morris, Crane was in favour of social reform at the same time as condemning the dehumanising effects of industry. Whether it's May or not, here's a chance for you to celebrate the Workers in your life!
