Austerity 1930s Style mug

Austerity has been tried before and the consequences were no less devastating than today. This mug design is based on a cartoon by the 1930s cartoonist Frank Horrabin in the magazine of the National Council of Labour Colleges. It shows four differently waged men above each other on a ladder the unemployed at the bottom with his head only just above the water. The man at the top says "Equality of sacrifice that's the big idea friends! Let's all step down one rung!"
