Cofiwch Dryweryn ('Remember Tryweryn') Welsh mug
It's 53 years since a little known village Capel Celyn in the Tryweryn valley was obliterated by a reservoir ostensibly to provide water for the growing city of Liverpool. Subsequently it was shown that the city required the water to SELL to other towns. It's the story of powerless people being crushed by distant vested concerns. This iconic message was painted on a ruined wall near Aberystwyth in memory of the flooding of the valley.
